Since the lubricant is non-solvent, it won’t reduce the lubrication properties of the product. If the fluid additive of the item is solvent, it won’t deliver the right output you want. One of the key benefits of using the Lucas transmission is its non-solvent nature. When you use the additive with the existing fluid of your car, it comes with the following benefits for the vehicle’s gear system. In most cases, adding the solvent will improve the shifting smoothness of your vehicle. Thankfully, it works perfectly well in maintaining your vehicle’s shifting system. One of their premium additives is the Lucas Transmission Fix. Over the years, they have introduced many additives and lubricants to maintain automobiles in good condition. Lucas Oil is a famous automotive additive manufacturer worldwide. The Lucas stuff did nothing at all to help my problem. I wouldn't say it's severe enough to warrant a new tranny yet, but it's clear the fluid made no difference. Still shifts hard up and down from time to time. Still slams into Reverse after the car is warmed up. I am not changing the filter at this time. So hopefully this new fluid AND slip stop make a big difference as well. I had great results with changing the fluid last year after my 2K mi trip home from sunny California. Mine shifts hard into Reverse and then sometimes hard into 3rd, like starting to annoy me so hard. I ran it for about 5 min and the cherry red fluid came out like a chocolate milkshake! I don't know how much was trans tune cleaning and releasing gunk, but I will say the dip stick was still giving me a cherry red stain last month when I checked the level I also got some Seafoam Trans Tune to run through the system before I drain. Try The Castrol MV ATF, from what I have read it seems to be good stuff at reasonable price.Consider it done. Pentosin ATF1 is the only full synthetic that I came across that meets LT71141. Chosen base oils in the combination with the new, contemporary technology of additives specify the excellent operating characteristics of this liquid for the automatic transmissions especially also with respect to the future elongated intervals of oil change.etc Unfortunately in this part of the world the Castrol Multi Vehicle ATF is not available.Īnyone with an E36 with 5HP18 using a different brand than the ESSO ATF LT 71141 or Castrol MV ATF? What would be recommendable from own long term experience? Have to find a alternative brand for the above.ĪTF LT 71141 - this is partially synthetic liquid for the automatic transmissions for the severe conditions for work with Longdrain-.Performance for the application in the automatic gearboxes of automobiles. Have read on various forums good comments about the Castrol multi vehicle ATF which is also good for the 5HP18 and wanted to try it in future. A bit off topic, as it concerns my 02/98 E36 M3 with the 5HP18 = A5S 310Z from ZF which according to that list also uses ESSO ATF LT 71141 = BMW 82 22 9 407 807.
